Howdy Missouri

I realize that the original intent of this blog was to try a wine from all 50 states so I’m taking a bit of a detour, though I guess that depends on what you define as a “wine”. St. James Winery located in Missouri is infamous for its production of fruit wines and I was absolutely delighted by their Peach Wine. It’s won ton of awards. The notes we’re sweet and the peach flavor really shined through. In addition to drinking it I also used it as part of a sauce for fish, which was amazing as well. St. James actually makes wine from several types of fruits including cherries, mangoes and blackberries. They also offer several varieties of grape wines.
